“The northern Thai state of Lanna – The kingdom of a million rice fields” -Joe Bindloss-
Chiang Mai has a rich history, dating back to 1292, when the city was founded. The city was known as the Rose of the North by the people because of its strong culture and heritage. A fantastic opportunity to learn about Chiang Mai in a single day. Your excursion will begin at Wat Phra Singh, which houses the holiest Buddha image, PhraPhuttha Sihing, in an ancient pavilion. Then take a coach to the Three Kings Monument, which honors the LannaThai Kingdom’s founders. Then, for a thousand-year-old wooden pavilion at Wat Pan Tao, take a short walk through the city center, or “Klang Wiang”.
After that, stop by the Lanna Architecture museum, which is belong to a former Lanna Thai officer. Then, for your give-away gift, participate in a hand-on experience of “Kon Muang” art design and enjoy a cold brew of locally brewed coffee and tea. Re-board a coach for a return trip to the hotel.
